During the Summer months, the walks take place at 8 am and 6 pm only to avoid the scorching sun.

However, during non-Summer days (October till May), the walks take place at 9 am, 10.30 and 2 pm but obviously it all depending on the heat.

Sunset Picnic on Xlendi cliffs with pygmy goats

Enjoy a sunset picnic with Gozitan delicacies in Xlendi Bay. Meet friendly pygmy goats and take a scenic walk to the Xlendi Tower and nearby salt pans. A picnic with pygmy goats is a unique, enchanting and delightful experience, combining the joy of being outdoors with the playful charm of these diminutive creatures. Pygmy goats are known for their friendly and curious nature, making them perfect companions for an outing in nature.

The experience begins at Qsajjem Bus Stop in Xlendi, where you will meet your guide and make your way to the picnic area. You will be served delicious Gozitan delicacies including Gozo ftira biż-żejt, galletti with bigilla, Gozitan cheese, stuffed olives, Maltese sausage and seasonal fruits. Please let the organisers know if you have any allergies or dietary requirements.

After the picnic, it will be time to meet these delightful animals. Guests can interact with the pygmy (miniature) goats and feed them goat-safe snacks such as fresh fruits and vegetables. A picnic with pygmy goats promises laughter, joy and an unforgettable connection with nature.

Afterwards, enjoy a scenic sunset walk to the Xlendi Tower and salt pans. Unwind in the beauty of Gozo’s nature and stunning landscapes.

This is a list of suggested things to do while you’re in Gozo. Since Gozo is so small, most things are relatively close to each other. Boost your holiday by implementing the items on the list that are of interest to you:

  • Do the coastal walk around the island – follow the red dot and it will lead you along the coast of Gozo (ideally in Winter or mid-season or early morning in Summer)
  • Go to a village feast and mingle with the locals in summer;
  • Swim at Ramla Bay – the red sandy beach;
  • Take the boat to Blue Lagoon in Comino. Swim in the clearest waters. Take a walk to the Comino tower, then to Santa Maria Bay, and back to Blue Lagoon;
